Lina and Gourry's Story

A good bit of the information from this site came from a ship manifesto I had written for this pairing in January 2007. Because an earlier manifesto dealt with the Lina/Gourry pairing from the anime perspective, my manifesto focused heavily on the novels. However, there's actually three different versions of their story: novels, anime and manga. Each explores the relationship in a different matter but all wind up with the same result: Lina and Gourry making sacrifices to remain in each other's lives and remain a unit at the end of each series. For now, just the novel version and a small part of the manga will be here. I will later expand this to include the anime and the rest of the manga, along with other media.

Novels: (1990-2000) The information here covers Slayers novels 1-15. One through six have been released in English. Seven and eight will be released in July.

Anime: (1995-1997, 2001, 2007) The information here covers Slayers, Slayers Next, Slayers TRY, Slayers Premium and the new 2-minute video from the Slayers Memorial DVD.

Manga: (1995-2005) The information here covers the one-shot Araizumi manga, Chou-Baku Mahou Den Slayers (aka Slayers: Super-Explosive Demon Story), Slayers Premium and Slayers: Knight of Aqualord.

Drama CDs: (1995-1996, 2001, 2004, 2006) The information here covers Slayers EX, Slayers N>EX, Slayers Premium drama, Slayers VS Orphen and Katte Kita Slayers EX.

Video Games: The information here covers the various Slayers video games, mostly focusing on Slayers Wonderful, Slayers Royal and Slayers Royal 2.
